Do What You Want

You’ll find that the happiest people in this life are those who don’t care about what others think. These kinds of people do what they want, when they want it, because they are only concerned about their own happiness. In saying this, I’m not promoting selfishness. There is a difference between seeking the things you want and being completely self-absorbed.

If you are anything like me, it’s difficult to go after what you want. People like me often worry about others and put the needs of others before ours. Now most people would say: “That sounds great! You’re such a kind person!” But when someone makes a habit of it, it isn’t great. At least not for them. It benefits others around them, but it’s no fun when you do these things for others and expect the same treatment in return. It just doesn’t happen.

That is why it is SO important to know what you want and take the necessary steps to achieve it. It is not being selfish. It’s simply being aware of what you want and then taking the steps to create your own happiness.

If you have some crazy dream, (and pursuing it will not harm yourself or other people) go for it! It’s always good to have dreams, be inspired, and crave more from life.

I challenge you to do something spontaneous today. Do you have something that you’ve always wanted to do, but never tried because you were scared of what someone else would think?

DO IT.

And then share your stories below! Nothing is too big or too small. I want to hear your stories 🙂
